Just got back from two weeks in real (aka south) Florida yesterday. Left gettiing frostbite and returned to get frostbite again.

Wow! Nice photos of Florida!

And then, returning to the tundra... Brrrr! I know it's only Toronto, which has got to be the southernmost city in all of Canada, but OMG, what a shock that must have been to the system!

If you don't mind me asking, what all did you do in the Sunshine State? Lorimar was just at Disney World; you might have been in the same state at the same time.

I grew up mostly in the wintry Midwest (like Narnia, home to ever-lasting winter and almost no Christmas (just once a year, even!)), and am glad to be living in warmer climes since the 1990s, though I wouldn't mind a white Christmas once a decade.

Also, is that you shoveling snow?

Key West is lovely! Very tropical and Caribbean-like. South Florida is also fantastic; I spent some time in Miami and loved my time there.

The Everglades are amazing. While I was there, I stayed at Billie Swamp Safari in one of the little mini-cabins with my girlfriend at the time. We were warned not to venture onto the decks behind the cabins, and in the morning, we discovered why: the alligators love sunning themselves on the desks, and each cabin's pier had exactly one alligator sunning him/herself on it!

We also spotted a Florida Panther, one of the most endangered mammals in the world.

I haven't. The only "current" shows I watch are The Goldbergs and the smash hit "Ghosts". ("Ghosts" is fantastic. It makes you both belly laugh and choke up)
