A few years back I purchased this series from a seller who made the set with recordings from Comedy Gold. All of the episodes run between 24 and 25 minutes long. This is a huge upgrade from that 17 disc set floating around from Nick at Nite recordings. This set was made from digital recordings so the quality is perfect.

Who's The Boss? will ever get an official series release, I just don't know why? I mean there are other shows out there that are so less popular and they get release but a show like WTB was so popular doesn't. Does not make sense, but I am hopeful I can get a copy from someone. |

Funny I remember an episode where Sam goes to a party in highschool (tv rip) and the music is a dead ringer for a sound-a-like version of Express Yourself by Madonna. I wondered if it was replaced in syndication and they had the real song (ep is from ~1990). |

This reminds me of when Vicki Lawrence asked when was Mama's Family going to come to DVD, and she said, "And they started naming off all these shows that'll never make it with these copyright issues" (paraphrasing). Maybe WTB was one of those shows they told her?
It really is a shame though---and odd. It's not like the Bower-Miccellis has musical family night where they performed copyrighted hits in the living room all the time, lol. I guess it must be about the studio rights or something. |
