I don’t know about a reboot. If Reba was on today, Van and Barbara Jean would wind up in bed together, Brock would be an amputee with a voice box, Kyra would be married to this airheaded “surfer type” dude, Van and Cheyenne’s daughter, Elizabeth, would probably be pregnant by now, making Reba a great-grandmother, Jake would be married to this lazy, blond bimbo, and Reba would most likely get married again to some younger man.

What always confused me about this show was how Barbara Jean or “B.J.” was trying so hard to be Reba’s “best friend”, while she was kissing up to Reba’s ex-husband, Brock. Uhh.

Reba is an idiot. She's the one who hired Barbara Jean to work at the dental office when she (Reba) was still married to Brock. She even caught B.J. trying to make out with Brock right before she gave her the job. Reba is a jackass. Remember in the last season she called B.J. her "best friend" when B.J. was going to move for that news station job. Reba is such a sucker and a garbage mom who always put Princess Cheyenne ahead of Kyra and Jake.

I know this show is obviously fictional, but it always bothered me how Reba kept on enabling flaky Cheyenne and dense Van, who was always horny. I remember in one episode from the first season, I think, when Reba was filling in as a substitute at Cheyenne and Van’s old high school, and later, got fired, Reba even asked Brock if she was spoiling them to much, but no, Brock had to lie and tell her that she was doing a wonderful job, letting the “happy couple” mooch and bum off of her and enjoy their free board.

Cheyenne was always so incredibly spoiled and so obviously favored over the other children. Also, the whole Van/Cheyenne marriage is so unrealistic. How many 17 year old boys would marry their high school girlfriend only because she's pregnant and then be content with married life instead of opting for being free? What's wrong with co-parenting? IMO, their marriage is stupid and unnecessary. Let's not forget Brock is also an enabler like when he bought them a new used car for no reason. These kids are such lazy mooches. I wanted to smack them when they started getting food stamps.

Princess Cheyenne did get a job as Reba's house maid when she destroyed the fine China/family heirlooms. So how does Reba respond to this incompetence? She pays Cheyenne and Van off so they can afford the car that Brock got them. Such ridiculous parents/enablers.

I think the maddest I ever got at Reba was when she promised Kyra money to go on a school trip but then rescinds the offer so she can use the money to bail out loser, irresponsible Princess Cheyenne who fouled up her college classes.

My god, she’d put spoiling Cheyenne and Van before going to the doctors for a checkup.

Not only that, Cheyenne then called Kyra selfish for moving out because of it. I was like, "Of course YOU think that, Reba bends over backwards for you but hardly does anything for Kyra!"

All that I ask is that Cheyanne shows the growth again that we saw in her during the season five episodes when she decided to go towards the drug and alcohol counseling field. She only reverted back to being a word that I can't say during the final season.

God bless you always!!!

I agree, I'd settle for any growth with Cheyenne. I'm willing to bet Kyra ended up doing well due to having to, because she didn't have the safety net that Cheyenne had.
