Cliffs: -She used to be good friends with Jamie Foxx back in the day -She helped him come up with/write the character Wanda on In Living Color -The part of Fancy on The Jamie Foxx Show was written specifically for her. -The network execs decided they wanted Garcelle Beauvais to have the role -She was angry and depressed for a while after losing the role. She felt like a failure. -She begrudgingly took a guest role on the show and was in a scene with Garcelle -She had/has no hard feelings towards Garcelle -When she got past the anger and “pisstivity” she made the decision to never allow anyone to define her as an artist -And, to not allow others to determine her future or destiny… |
