To me, she and Jesse's dad (John Aprea) should've been shown more.

God bless you and her family and John always!!!

To me, she and Jesse's dad (John Aprea) should've been shown more since Stephanie, D.J. and Michelle were their grand kids.

God bless you and her family and John always!!!

Does anybody know why Yvonne Wilder replaced Rhoda Gemignani (who was also Mrs. Rossini on Who's the Boss) as Jesse's mom after the first season?

I tried to find information on why Rhoda Gemignani was replaced but I could not find anything on it but I never cared for Yvonne's character, Rhoda was better in my opinion

The same thing can be asked concerning the role of Danny's mother. In season three, the character was taken over for one episode by the late and legendary Doris Roberts.

God bless you and her always!!!

Doris Roberts was one of the Miller-Milkis-Boyett group's favorite "go-to" performers. She had done Angie for them back in 1979-80, where she played the titular character's mother. She was also on Perfect Strangers and Step by Step.

John Aprea did eventually appear again on Fuller House. But still, did anybody else find it extremely odd that we don't appear to see Jesse's parents at his wedding to Becky? And where was Nick when his own dad, Papouli died?

Jesse's parents were at the wedding. I remember his mom wanting to know why he wasn't at the church.

God bless you always!!!

I didn't know that Yvonne Wilder pretty much retired from acting in 1993, which is less than two years before Full House concluded. So, it goes without saying that Yvonne could've in theory, made more appearances on Full House had she remained an active actress a bit longer.

I guess that I should've instead said that I find it odd that we never saw Nick and Irene beyond Jesse and Becky's wedding. I mean, why were as far as I know and can remember, nowhere to be found when Becky gave birth to the twins? One of Jesse and Becky's sons, Nicky, is literally named after Jesse's dad.

I liked the original actress who played Irene better than Yvonne. I don't like that she never made an appearance beyond a few episodes in early seasons.
