NBC Renews "La Brea" for 2nd Season
"La Brea" Renewed for Season 2 at NBC
by Peter White Nov. 12, 2021 Disaster drama "La Brea" will be back for a second season. NBC has renewed the series for a sophomore run after the ratings success of the Natalie Zea-fronted thriller. The renewal comes as the broadcast network unveiled its mid-season schedule. The show is the number one new show of the fall in the 18-49 demo and NBC said that it had reached more than 47M viewers across linear and digital platforms. The pilot, which aired September 28, currently stands at a 3.6 in 18-49 and 19.8M viewers. It has also become the best launch of any new NBC show on the network’s sister streamer Peacock and is the number three new show of the season in total Live+3 viewers after "NCIS: Hawai’i" and "FBI International". https://deadline.com/2021/11/la-brea...bc-1234873058/ |

La Brea creator says Season 2 will feature "a world completely different from anything we’ve seen on the show so far"
"One of the fun things about the show is that we want to keep ourselves open to lots of different story possibilities, and the world of these sinkholes and the science we’ve set up behind it allows you to have different time periods that we can explore," says creator and co-showrunner David Appelbaum in reflecting on Tuesday's Season 1 finale. |
