I guess that I was wrong about Bonanza being off the schedule after September 18th.

Right now on Fort Wayne diginet subchannels, they are running the exact same episode of Bonanza on channels 41.1 43.4 45.5 and 49.1
Season 2, episode 4 "The Mill"

Wonder if that might be the same feed as you are seeing on GAC?

In Indianapolis, I just noticed WHMB is running the Beverly Hillbillies on weekdays. They have a history of running complete, unedited episodes. I will check on Monday to see if they are running these public domain copies.

Has anyone noticed that when watching The Beverly Hillbillies, they use a cheap and generic sounding theme song? I wonder if JLTV and ZLiving do the same thing or if both of them use the normal theme song.

Yes, I saw them locally, too. Those are the public domain episodes. They will only be showing seasons 1 and 2.

While the episodes have expired copyrights, the music doesn't--that's why they can't play the original theme.

These cheapskates should just buy the regular syndication episodes from CBS.

That’s why they’re not even worth watching

I'm really disappointed in Channel 40 locally. I didn't think they'd stoop to dealing with some schlock purveyor of public domain episodes.

Does MeTV play the regular theme song, or is that public domain as well?

FETV airs the licensed syndicated prints from CBS Entertainment. These are not the public domain episodes with the poorly overdubbed theme song.

The Beverly Hillbillies might not even be on MeTV's current lineup. But if it is, would be the traditional theme song as that is what aired on the Decades marathon.

GAC is not a well known channel that likely has a small budget. A big monopoly like CBS/Viacom is the more likely greedy cheapskate party who won't lease their classic shows to cable channels at a reasonable price.

Thank you, but I don't have FETV though.

MeTV shows it at 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM on Saturdays.

MeTV still airs The Beverly Hillbillies every Saturday morning and they air all 9 seasons although I think they've skipped a handful of them for whatever reason.

I think CBS/Viacom is willing to license out shows like The Beverly Hillbillies, since MeTV and FeTV (which is a small cable/satellite channel) as well but most just air the PD versions since they're cheap and don't have to pay anything or very little for them.
