May 3, 1991, the final episode of the original series of Dallas was aired after 13 years. What are your thoughts, reflections and memories 30 years on of the glitzy iconic television soap and also how it ended?
How well does the show hold up all these years later? |

It's one of my all-time favorite shows. I was very sad to see the show end. And I think it's a shame that the reruns are rarely shown on television.

Why didn't the Dallas finale have a bigger impact? We had not only a cynical parody of It's a Wonderful Life but Joel Grey as a tuxedo-clad demon with glowing red eyes and an ambiguous ending with an unresolved gunshot. That's pretty heady stuff. And yet, in contrast to "Who Shot J.R.?" and Bobby under the shower, it has appeared to left zero trace in the pop-cultural memory.
