I am so glad to have the opportunity to watch this show.

I enjoyed her "God will get you for that" the 1st three seasons. You dont really hear it anymore after season 4

I love that episode. Bea did an excellent job bringing humor and life to the Maude character. I don't get tired of her as Maude. She's not overly mean and grumpy all the time like she is with Dorothy.

I'm glad we have the opportunity to see this show as well. Maude was a blind buy for me because I had only seen a few episodes off YouTube before its release. Once Shout announced the complete series was coming, I pre-ordered the same way I did with The Facts of Life and had the fastest shipping possible. Even though there's some stuff dated, the chemistry of Bea, Bill, Conrad, and Rue make this show so much fun to watch. Their characters aren't obnoxious like AITF has with Mike.

I remember that one! It seemed that 'Aunt Tinky' had been a friend of Maude's mother that neither Maude (nor Carol) actually liked but they'd put up with her down the years just to keep Maude's mother off their backs! Anyway, Maude was dreading Aunt Tinky's visit but then when she thought Aunt Tinky had died in a plane crash saw dollar signs since Aunt Tinky had just phoned her up to tell her she'd taken out flight insurance and made MAUDE the beneficiary so she'd feel guilty for not driving her to/from her hometown to Tuckahoe! Then Walter got upset because he wanted to tell someone Aunt Tinky had died but since Maude had told Carol and Phillip had never met her, there was no one else in the family left to tell. But, before Maude could actually dance on Aunt Tinky's grave, Aunt Tinky showed up and explained that she decided to take the bus at the last minute and immediately started a nonstop dump session on Maude (and even put out a zinger over Walter's 'dumb haircut' despite the fact that she'd never met him before ) which got Maude to sob for real that she actually now HAD to put up with Aunt Tinky after all that!

I wonder if that's why Mary supposedly stayed 'friends' with Phyllis on 'MTM' ? Could Phyllis have been someone Mary's mother saddled her with and Mary never got the gumption to permanently throw off Phyllis?
