They don’t care about quality TV anymore. With people in the television industry today, their motto is “If it involves sex, if it sucks, and if it makes no sense, then it’s awesome”.

Brain dead, unoriginal, raunchy, disgusting, gross TV. That's Two And A Half Men. Sad how that hideous show lasted for 12 seasons.

I never saw either show, so I can't really comment except for that I think 99% of "reality" shows are stupid and mindless.

Real Housewives is appalling, my cousin watches that crap all the time, but Kartrashians are even worse. A lot of bed hopping and staged crap. And not to mention lots of “crying” from one of the Kartrashian sisters, Kim, so if you ever watch the show in the near future, beware. The pathetic woman can’t even sniff onions without breaking down in tears. I could mention that the whole family looks like damn monsters, but I’ll hold my tongue and be civil. Watch ONE episode of Keeping Up With The Kartrashians and you’ll think today’s other crap like Two and A Half Men is partially decent. No reality in these pathetic excuses for “reality” shows.

Whoever creates these hideous, embarrassing, trashy shows needs to be banned from the television industry.

In no particular order:

Silver Spoons (revisiting this on Roku I can't understand why it was popular)
ALF (stupid premise that got tiresome within minutes)
Perfect Strangers (the fish out of water cliche and Balki's pop culture references dates the show badly)
Fresh Off The Boat (boring)
The Munsters Today (unfunny and stupid)

honorable mention:
Full House (the poster child sitcom for sappiest bland stupidest cringiest excuse of a family safe show that lasted way longer than it should have)

That show’s a hit or miss (but it’s more miss that hit).

I tried to watch this. The episode I watched was full of foul language and seemed unfunny to me.

Yep. You die a little inside, knowing this is what passes for "entertainment".

Actually, The Golden Girls is one of my personal favorites, you really have to get the feel for it and watch some certain episodes, especially from the earlier seasons, or watch a couple of episodes before you make the final judgement. The earlier seasons were golden, the later seasons, not so much, it kinda lost it’s spark there. With the exception of Rose’s stupidity and Blanche’s annoying obsession with sex, the show has great character development and personality as well.

Broad Categories:
  1. Scripted reality
  2. Cooking competition shows (Food Network)
  3. Home renovation shows that focus on trendiness instead of displaying skills ("This Old House" remains the gold standard of home renovation shows.)
  4. Big Brother and all its variants
  5. All other competition shows (except traditional game shows and Wipeout / America Ninja Warrior)

Sitcoms:
  1. 2 Broke Girls (cringeworthy characters)
  2. Sex in the City (brings the concept of vapid to a whole new level)
  3. Black-ish (the narration is exceptionally whiny)
  4. Will & Grace (the Jack and Karen characters are strangle-worthy)
  5. The Nanny (obnoxious accent)

Dramas:
  1. Chicago PD / Fire / Med
  2. Law and Order SVU
  3. Law and Order
  4. Law and Order Criminal Intent
  5. Magnum PI 2018 reboot

TV Network Behavior:
Honorable mention goes to the the Discovery networks and HGTV for the practice of adding a useless recap after the commercial breaks to further reduce the amount of content required to produce each TV show.
I am revising the dramas portion of my list.

Dramas:
  1. Chicago PD / Fire / Med
  2. Law and Order SVU
  3. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  4. Law and Order
  5. Law and Order Criminal Intent

Golden Girls is one of my all time favorite shows, too. Even with all of the many inconsistencies and Rose's endlessly irritating stupidity, it will always be a favorite. Oh, and I don't like Sophia at all, not even a little bit. I only really like Dorothy and Blanche. Still, it brings me a cozy feeling and I adore the show.
