Default Hate A TV Show- Really???

Hate is such a strong and polarizing word especially for a make believe tv show. If I don't like a show I just won't watch it...end of story.

1. Seinfeld. I don't understand all the hype over this show.

2. Drew Carey Show. Drew Carey personally is annoying to watch. I never liked his acting or hosting of Price is Right.

3. Here's Lucy. The whole point of this show was Lucille Ball pimping out her kids into acting. The way to get people to watch is have all these big name celebrities guest star. It's nothing more than a gimmick show to keep people watching. There's no real story or plot to the show. It's just who's gonna appear this week and how can we get Lucie Arnaz singing. No wonder this show was never a hit in syndication.

4. Saved By The Bell. I watched this show growing up. I don't understand the appeal as an adult. This show was not aimed for adults like some teen shows were. They had the silliest plots and dialogue to make you cringe. It's another overhype show like Seinfeld.

I don't have a fifth show. These four are ones I always avoid watching when the opportunity comes up. I gave them a chance and that was enough.

I can't believe I forgot to name the show that I hate the most: Two And A Half Men: the most raunchy, disgusting, unfunny, self-indulgent, creepy show ever made.

I forgot to list that one. It came on yesterday on TV Land and I immediately changed the channel.

Of all the ones you listed, I like Barney Miller, I Dream Of Jeannie, and Designing Women. Happy Days was good the first season, but the rest were hit or Miss. Barney Miller has dry humor. Designing Women, while funny and enjoyable, at times gets very preachy and political.

1. Jerry Springer
2. Maury
3. Family Feud (Steve Harvey version) - unwatchable. They have the world's dumbest families.
4. Kardashians
5. Real Housewives

Here is a summary of TV that I find positively unwatchable.

Broad Categories:
  1. Scripted reality
  2. Cooking competition shows (Food Network)
  3. Home renovation shows that focus on trendiness instead of displaying skills ("This Old House" remains the gold standard of home renovation shows.)
  4. Big Brother and all its variants
  5. All other competition shows (except traditional game shows and Wipeout / America Ninja Warrior)

Sitcoms:
  1. 2 Broke Girls (cringeworthy characters)
  2. Sex in the City (brings the concept of vapid to a whole new level)
  3. Black-ish (the narration is exceptionally whiny)
  4. Will & Grace (the Jack and Karen characters are strangle-worthy)
  5. The Nanny (obnoxious accent)

Dramas:
  1. Chicago PD / Fire / Med
  2. Law and Order SVU
  3. Law and Order
  4. Law and Order Criminal Intent
  5. Magnum PI 2018 reboot

TV Network Behavior:
Honorable mention goes to the the Discovery networks and HGTV for the practice of adding a useless recap after the commercial breaks to further reduce the amount of content required to produce each TV show.

I bet most of the characters on that show (Two & A Half Men) are crawling with STDs... so gross!

Forgot to add Kardashians and Real Housewives too. How they have lasted so long is beyond me. Watching those shows is like committing suicide.
