The truth behind Molly Ephraim's departure still needs to be answered

Here's what the showrunner Kevin Abbott recently said:

Of course, both Ephraim and Krosney “would have had to be OK coming back,” Abbott specifies, and “I’m not certain that would have been accomplished.” Of those departures, “one of those was not our decision… [and] I don’t think attitudes have softened during the last four years.”

Doesn't this sound like Molly Ephraim unlike Alexandra Krosney (who was straight up fired), was the one whose departure was not the producers' decision? Doesn't it also sound like Molly coming back was never a real possibility because she wouldn't have done it?

Of course, the timing of Molly's departure coincided with Fox picking it up. The story that we were given was that she had already booked other jobs in the interim. But think about this for a moment. Usually when an actor books another job we should know what that is. I mean, Kaitlyn Dever works a lot now and she still found time to come back for the show a few times. And Molly Ephraim deleted her Twitter account because she didn't want to answer questions regarding why she wasn't on Last Man Standing anymore.

In the end, Molly may have made the right move considering the fact that the show only got three more years after making the move to FOX.
