what I would schedule for them next season

Sunday
7:00 60 Minutes
8:00 The Equalizer
9:00 NCIS: Los Angeles
10:00 Seal Team

Monday
8:00 The Neighborhood
8:30 New Comedy
9:00 FBI
10:00 All Rise 13 episodes- FBI: International in January

Tuesday
8:00 NCIS- final season if Mark Harmon really does want to leave
9:00 NCIS: Hawaii
10:00 FBI: Most Wanted

Wednesday
8:00 Survivor/Tough As Nails/Survivor
9:00 CSI: Vegas
10:00 S.W.A.T.

Thursday
8:00 Young Sheldon
8:30 New Comedy
9:00 Bob Hearts Abishola
9:30 United States of Al
10:00 New Drama

Friday
8:00 Magnum, P.I. final season
9:00 Bull
10:00 Blue Bloods

Midseason
B Positive- As a fan of B Positive I am hoping CBS treats Thomas Middleditch like they have Michael Weatherly and leaves the show intact. I wanted to put this on the fall schedule but would settle for 13 episodes midseason. But if they would recast Thomas like some have called for, just cancel and put Annaleigh Ashford in something else.

Cancelled/Ending
The Unicorn, Clarice, Evil, MacGyver, NCIS: New Orleans, Mom

Is there an exit plan for the NCIS franchise in the works as it makes room for the FBI franchise (and despite a new NCIS spinoff launching next year)?

First, NCIS: New Orleans gets buried in the Sunday-at-10 deathslot to make room for FBI: Most Wanted, and gets cancelled after the following year and is replaced (though not on the same timeslot, obviously) by NCIS: Hawaii.

Next, NCIS: Los Angeles gets shifted to the same deathslot for 2021-22 and gets a short order of 13-16 episodes before deciding to retire due to low ratings (partially because of Linda Hunt no longer appearing regularly and other stars' contracts expiring).

Last, the original NCIS series has to deal with Mark Harmon's reduced onscreen presence in season 19, and its numbers decline as a result (and its ratings get beaten by FBI a couple of times). Despite that, the series is renewed for season 20 (tying it with Gunsmoke as CBS's longest-running primetime drama), and then it's announced as the Farewell Season, with audience numbers slipping for U.S. Broadcast TV's number-one drama series.

Before the pandemic, I thought NCIS: Los Angeles would end at season 12, and NCIS: New Orleans would continue for at least season 8.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

Okay, here are my CBS scheduling suggestions for 2021-22:

* There have been talks over the past few days of SEAL Team, Clarice, and Evil going to Paramount+ for their next seasons, opening-up a slot for new shows on the CBS schedule. I thought that Evil was going to end up on CBS's Summer schedule for season 2, but a premiere date for it still hasn't been announced, which is frustrating.
* Aside from NCIS: Los Angeles, I could see Blue Bloods being in its final season next year, also. It will depend on if Tom Selleck will want to continue doing BB past season 12, but still, I don't know if it should at this point. I had said in the past that BB would be the next show to end its original run while still in the Nielsen Top 20.
* The shows I'd want to move to Sundays at 10 next are Bull, the 2017 version of S.W.A.T., and the 2018 version of Magnum P.I. (provided that the 2021 version of The Equalizer and NCIS: Los Angeles don't each get moved an hour later).
* I agree on moving Bob Hearts Abishola to Thursdays at 9 because of Mom ending, and it's mainly because of the limited choices for that anchor slot (I don't see B Positive or United States of Al getting an anchor slot so early in their runs).
* At the end of next season, if CSI: Vegas gets renewed for a season two, one of FBI: International or NCIS: Hawaii will get cancelled after one year while the other also gets renewed.

Here's the new schedule. It stinks just like the other networks.

CBS Fall Schedule 2021-22

Thank God for Retro TV channels and free streams! No way I'm watching this crap! (Except "Young Sheldon". He's still cool!)

CBS boss defends TV networks' dependence on franchises and reboots

"'Franchise’ is a bad word only if you do the exact same thing,” says CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl, who tells The Wall Street Journal each show has its own identity despite sharing source material. Last week, Kahl revealed a fall schedule that includes a new NCIS, a CSI revival and three straight hours of FBI, including the brand-new FBI: International. Meanwhile, the constant reboots and franchises has frustrated writers. Mike Royce, who co-created the One Day at a Time reboot, says "if we had pitched that same exact show without the IP (intellectual property) of the old show, we never would have gotten anywhere." He adds: "It becomes very hard and frustrating when the thing you’ve been doing most of your life is coming up with an original idea and turning it into a TV show."
