Question Spin-offs that aired on different networks than the "core" show

For example:
  • The Golden Girls, which aired on NBC, spun-off into The Golden Palace (it's debatable over wither it's technically a spin-off, a sequel series, or a glorified eighth season of The Golden Girls), which aired on CBS. Meanwhile, Empty Nest and its own spin-off, Nurses remained on NBC.
  • When Buffy the Vampire Slayer moved from The WB to UPN, its spinoff, Angel, stayed with The WB.
  • The Practice, an ABC show, once crossed-over to Ally McBeal, a Fox show and vice versa.
  • The Six Million Dollar Man aired for five seasons on ABC. After its spin-off, "The Bionic Woman aired for two seasons on ABC, it was picked up by NBC, where it aired the third season.

"grown-ish" is on Freeform, whereas "black-ish" (and "mixed-ish") are on ABC.

For Golden Girls, I would call it a continuation except the GP episodes never seen to be in the syndication rotation (It should be). Even There's A Crowd is usually thrown in rotation with There's Company.

the 1981 series BRET MAVERICK aired on NBC and was a spin-off of the ABC series MAVERICK.
It was about Bret Maverick and starred James Garner who had also played the role in Maverick. In the final episode Jack Kelly made a cameo appearance, reviving his role as Bart from MAVERICK; if the series was picked up for a second season (which it wasn't sadly), they were going to make him a regular.
There was also another short-lived spin-off in (I think) 1980 called YOUNG MAVERICK which I think was on CBS

Jake and the Fatman was a Matlock spin-off? I guess that explains its initial success trouncing Seinfeld. I knew Jake launched Diagnosis Murder.

Conrad guest starred as an aging prosecutor in a two-part episode of Matlock during its first season on NBC. Executive producers Fred Silverman and Dean Hargrove decided to use this character as a model for one of the main characters in a new show they were creating for CBS. Penny also guest starred in these episodes, but his character was not on the same side as Conrad's character in the storyline's legal case.

It's not a spin-off, but "The Glee Project" aired on Oxygen. "Glee" actors would mentor the contestants and the prize was a role on the Fox show.

Also, NBC passed on "Ozzie's Girls" and it was sold into first-run syndication airing 1 season (1973-74). The pilot aired as an NBC special in 1972.
