I'm a huge fan of films from all countries, and over the years I've seen the excellent Australian independent film Little Fish (2005) several times. It stars Cate Blanchett as a woman who's trying to make her way in the world after numerous personal & professional setbacks. Hugo Weaving, Sam Neill, and Dustin Nguyen also have important roles in the film.

Excellent film, that's well worth checking out - if you haven't done so already. DN mentions this in the interview.
