The Ropers was really funny at times because of the foil/feud between the Ropers and Jeffrey Tambor!

It should've gotten a few more seasons!

Since day one. I am convinced the only way this show would be successful would be to have had Janet and Jack marry. When you take a series that was on 8 seasons and you are invested in the characters as if they were family you cannot have them all in the last episode move on too completely different lives as if the 8 years never existed.

A counter argument that I've heard is that Jack and Janet were really more like "bother and sister". Plus, they had been living together for a good seven and a half years. If anything beyond the "brother/sister" dynamic happened, then it would've more plausibly happened a bit sooner. I could've seen Jack and Terri hook up though.

Say what?? That was the major premise of the show! The tension between Jack and Mr.Bradford. Kind of like the tension between Mr.Roper and Mr.Brooks on The Ropers except The Ropers did a much better job of it!

If you didn't have Mr.Bradford coming by then what would the show have been about?? Jack & Vicki living happily ever after isn't a show!

I think TAC was a mistake from the start.
