Question Has Scott Baio's alleged real life transgressions ruined your enjoyment of CiC

This coming November 10 will officially mark the 30th anniversary of Charles in Charge's final episode being aired. And since that time, we've learned more about Scott Baio then maybe we wanted to learn. Between his outspoken and admittedly divisive political stances (which I won't go too far into since this isn't exactly the appropriate forum to do so), his downright callous remarks about his old Happy Days/Joanie Loves Chachi co-star Erin Moran when she was dealing with late in life personal demons, the murkiness behind his abrupt exit from Diagnosis Murder and its connection with Victoria Rowell, and that's before we have to get into what Nicole Eggert and Alexander Polinsky have since accused him of doing to them on the set of Charles in Charge.

I've been watching Charles In Charge again recently and I'm still able to enjoy it even though I think Scott Baio is a rotten person. Same thing with Bill Cosby and stuff that he's in.

Well I’m not exactly thrilled with him as a person, but he was entertaining in his early shows.

Now Cosby I never cared for, even before all the revelations came out. Never thought he was all that and glad he got me too’d.

Nothing divisive about him exercising his right to free speech. It's the Hollywood establishment that demands complete and total surrender to their anti-American agenda. Kudos to Baio for standing up to them.

Eggert and Polinsky have a history of blaming others for their poor choices in life. Eggert has not only blamed Baio for her problems, but also David Hassolhoff and Corey Haim. And Alexander Polinsky blames everyone for his failed acting career.

Visitors to this message board thread should read this very important article :

I am currently being prevented from creating a proper link to the specific page of this essay.
Please just use Google Search or another working search engine.

All Scott Baio fans must read this article and help to preserve it.
Some individuals don't want you to know about this essay.

What really tipped me off that Scott Baio wasn't exactly a "nice guy" though was his comments about Erin Moran. I suppose that Scott was trying to take the "you reap what you sow" and the "pull yourself from your boot straps" perspective. But his tone of doing so just came across as if he was implying that Erin deserved to die due to her supposed lifestyle choices.

It isn't that cut and dry for why people fall into substance abuse. Of course, I'm not at all trying to justify or rationalize why a person may resort to taking and abusing drugs. But you can't just immediately label someone like that as evil or not worth saving when the circumstances behind it all aren't that simple.

Scott just strikes me as a guy who has a major chip on his shoulder regardless of his politics. Plus, Erin Moran had cancer, she didn't exactly die from a drug overdose like Scott seemed to suggest.

Nah, Mr. Baio's more recent . ..remarks in no way dimmed my enjoyment of CiC or my POV about his characters because I always considered Chachi and Charles to be rather annoying and dim characters.

I stopped watching Happy Days when it became the Fonzi show,.. never have watched even 30 seconds of Joanie Loved Chachi, or any of the subsequent shows Baio participated in.

But just based upon the hype cast around Baio to promote his career, I have always viewed him as somewhat of a self-indulgent jerk.

His political views neither bother nor concern me. And the fact that he felt entitled to put his former co-star's substance abuse problems on public display...shows what kind of an azz he can be.

I haven't much use for him, and that appears unlikely to change.

If you are talking about Erin Moran , that mistake was thre years ago. Scott was the first admitt he screwed up. He worked it out with Erin's family. They have all moved on why can't you?
