A man lit himself on fire and killed himself at Miranda Cosgrove's house

It happened a few years ago, but she talks about it in this Whitney Cummings interview she did a couple of weeks ago. The interview is about 2 hours long.

A couple of interesting highlights:

1. A man had been lurking around in her backyard for a few days and she didn't even know it until the night he killed himself in her yard.

She was staying at her parents' house because she didn't want to drive home in the rain. That same night, the man shot several times at a car that he probably thought was hers, and then he lit himself on fire and shot himself.

She got a call saying that someone died at her house. Turns out he'd been there for days burying things in her backyard. Police found rope, and knife, and some chocolates buried in her yard.

2. She got into a bad bus accident while on tour and her mom sustained a concussion.

Fun fact: iCarly’s 4th production season only consisted of 11 episodes, which was the shortest they ever did & a very random network order, usually 13 is the standard minimum. It was actually planned that way (as 11) because of Miranda’s availability.

She went on tour across the summer of 2011, which overlapped with that season of iCarly. They even shot two episodes in one week because she wasn’t there towards the end. In addition, one episode was written in a way that didn’t feature Carly with any of them.

That season wrapped in late July, then two weeks later she got in a very bad tour bus accident. If season 4 ended up getting a bigger order, they would’ve needed to suspend production (cause of the tour bus accident) but luckily all worked out with production & Miranda ended up shaken up for a while, but ok. #icarly #nickelodeon #mirandacosgrove

3. Talks about some bad dates and her use of dating apps.

4. Talks about the time she failed an audition because she couldn't cry. Excused herself to the bathroom so she could put some menthol under her eyes, but the stick was all dried out so she didn't get the part. Went to her car and cried.
