Why did Carlton end up at the same college as Will? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Outside of simply excusing it as being for the sake of the show and keeping the main characters together. He always wanted to go to Princeton like Uncle Phil but he ended up at a state school with will? Why? Couldn't at least, the why writers considered sending characters to neighboring schools instead of having them implausibly go to the same school?

Yeah, that was awkward.

But it was probably for more storylines like them both working at the school store together.
