Well, in the final episode Tony quit his job in Iowa after they gave him an award and he flew back home to be with Angela so I would say that they got married and stayed together. I can't see it any other way. Hope that answer your question.

By the way, I wish Shout or Mill Creek Entertainment would try to get the rights and release the whole series, I mean it has been forever since Season 1 came out and the rest hasn't. I mean it is a very popular sitcom in its time and other not so well sitcoms have been released, I just don't get it why this one can't unless it's the amount of songs that has been played over the years on the show. I think I am not the only one who want the complete set of this officially released. I would buy it for sure.

I didn't like the last episode. I thought it was a insult to the fans who stuck it out through the last painful years of the show. The UK version got it right with their ending.

It was called " The Upper Hand " . And it ran in the UK from 1990-1996 and it was very successful. The James Bond actress Honor Blackman starred in the Mona role. The complete series is available on DVD but in region 2. So you would have to have a multi-region player to watch it. I like the version. Usually the US robs the UK of their shows but this is a rare instance where they got a show from us. YT did have some full episodes up but all I could find now was a clip:

It's a tad surreal to watch the pilot for The Upper Hand, because it's quite literally, a word-or-word/scene for scene remake of the Who's the Boss? pilot. Of course, to make it more suitable for British television, a few minor changes were made. Such as the British equivalent to Tony Micelli, Charlie being an ex-pro soccer (or footballer) player instead of an ex-pro baseball player.

And instead of Tony brandishing a baseball bat like on the pilot Who's the Boss?, Charlie on The Upper Hand, barges into the kitchen with a cricket paddle when Caroline (British Angela) is with her date, who's also her boss.
