Really though, it wasn't uncommon for mail and stuff to collect in the middle of the couch, but in the Beau pic, since there's a LOT going on there, lol, I assume that was some "going through stuff" or clean-up in progress. Because usually, yes, you could actually sit on the couch.

Oh, I was just kidding around. We didn't have as much paperwork on the couch, but we definitely had as much on the dining room table.

Well, kinda...I really learned them at my grandparents', and "re-saw" them here, and then saw first-hand the OOH years here.
