Doug enjoys drinking Scotch with Arthur in the show where they want to put him in a retirement home but later in the series when new neighbors visit and bring him Scotch, he pours it down the sink because "he isn't a Scotch guy".

The best of sitcoms have these- The Golden Girls a prime example.

Even though Carrie's sister was written out, they would have mentioned that she just moved away and such, and didn't have to imply Carrie was an only child in later seasons.

Didn't even think about Richie not being written out officially. Didn't mind him, but he wasn't a favorite of mine. He was seen in the clips compilation in that few minutes that aired at the end of the finale.

I mentioned this elsewhere, but, speaking of inconsistencies:

When Carrie cut her hair and got that awful haircut, was the audience to believe that her hair magically grew back, or that she was wearing a wig for some time thereafter?
