It looks like May 13, Wednesday 2020 will be prom night on abc along with the Season Finales of The Goldbergs & Schooled & American Housewife.

Single Parents will also have its Season Finale May 13, Wednesday 2020.

This should have happened last year so TKAA (The Kids Are Alright) could be renewed. But I am very glad to see ABC has cut ties with lousy creator Liz Meriwether. Bless This Garbage and Single Parent Losers have both been cancelled at the end of season 2.

So both were cancelled? Not that I watch either but was surprised both were renewed last year but TKAA wasn't, though it seemed to be more popular going by posts. ETA: I found that Schooled was also cancelled, that one was a shock because it was doing better than both of those and I liked it.

Is ABC bringing back Supermarket Sweep? I don't think the Goldberg's final season will be next year but the year after. If anything Blackish will end sooner because its ratings are much lower then the Goldbergs. Don't think they'll move the Goldbergs to Tuesday though.

With mixed-ish being renewed I don’t see black-ish leaving. I heard Wendi Mclendon is doing a lot of other projects and the kids are growing up fast unless they move The Goldbergs 1990 something..

I remember The Goldbergs started on Tuesday’s.

Considering ABC really hasn’t found a Modern Family replacement at 9pm plus they have struggled keeping a 9:30pm show Wednesday’s.

I guess will have to find out if there will even be a season.

Yeah but Schooled was renewed last year and I said the same about Schooled and the Goldbergs. Blackish's ratings are not good, and much lower than the Goldbergs and it all comes down to ratings. I do think the Goldbergs is closer to its end but I suspect when they renew the final season they will say.

That’s true and a good point. Yes, I sadly feel The Goldbergs & black-ish are getting to that point.

Yeah both only have a few more years. I think Blackish will end before the Goldbergs because of much lower ratings.

With five comedies not coming back, ABC is looking to reduce the number of comedy blocks.

American Housewife (ABC's "pet") is the designated successor to the recently-retired Modern Family in the Wednesdays-at-9:30 slot, so there's no way that one is moving again after all that ABC did to help it build an audience. I wish Mixed-ish was the one to change timeslots instead. And this comedy-hour reduction would also mean The Goldbergs ending at season 8, and there'll be only one new sitcom launching next season. I hate when networks reduce comedy hours when they've got too many of them on the schedule, because it always limits room for new shows.

What should be done with the ABC comedy division in 2020-21 if the comedy-hour reduction is confirmed:

Tuesday
8:00: The Conners
8:30: Mixed-ish

Wednesday
8:00: The Goldbergs
8:30: New Comedy
9:00: American Housewife

Except that the Goldbergs ranks higher than all of those (with the possible exception of the Conners which doesn't get 22 episodes). My money's on Blackish which is much lower rated than the Goldbergs.

What if I told you that I don't care how high The Goldbergs ranks? Then a fight would ensue, and personally, I always hate getting myself into fights.

Okay, how about this: There is no comedy-hour reduction, and neither The Goldbergs nor Black-ish end (their series finales will have to wait until 2022)? That would mean ABC Network ordering three new comedies for 2020-21.
