Default Is that all for TVLAND & nick@nite?

Why do both Channels never attempt to add different programming?

They could atleast switch programming in and out atleast seasonally. If they do add a show why keep it for 2 weeks than replace it right away on what was there.

I’m still surprised that nick@niTe hasn’t brought Saved By The Bell or the middle or Returned a few oldies from the past like Dennis the Menace & The Brady Bunch Leave it To Beaver & The Munsters & The Addams Family & Mister Ed & Lassie & The Monkee’s just for something different. (Yes I know it’s not showing older Classic TV shows but FRIENDS wasn’t the only show on Television).

TVLAND they can add I Love Lucy Dick Van Dyke Bewitched Mary Tyler Moore Bob Newhart & Newhart & Bewitched & All In The Family & Three’s Company & The Wonder Years & the middle.

Bottom line TVLAND has been Raymond King Of Queens for how long?
nick@niTe has been FRIENDS for how long now?

Do they have any desire to try something else?

TV Land is like having a KMART or Sears in the local shopping mall, you know it's going to be closing at some point, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. In the next few years we will see many of these networks either rebranding or disappearing altogether as the cord-cutting and streaming era closes the curtain on the old cable box era.

What has really hurt these networks is live sports programming which is ridiculously overpriced and is part of either basic or the next tier up. Millions of people who have no desire to subsidize sports leagues or regional sports networks have had it, and have cut the cord. ESPN is the signal most expensive network on these entry level tiers (costing around six dollars per subscriber).

Is seems like shows are being picked off by streaming channels and they are having a hard time getting the rights. I believe Raymond and King of Queens is exclusively on TV land other than some local stations who syndicate them.

I Love Lucy/Dick Van Dyke, Betwitched, Newhart, Barney Miller, the Middle, all of these shows can be streamed for free on a Roku channel.

Pay extra for Amazon Prime and Hulu and most all of those shows are there. I believe most of Antenna TV's line-up is now free on streaming or on AP or Hulu. And the commercials are much more tolerable - no 5 Minute Lipozene commercials to sit through.

@Merry24, Everybody Loves Raymond started airing TVLand in spring 2010, and currently still airs those.

https://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2011/...v-land-as.html
King of Queens has been on TVLand since late fall 2011

nick@nite has started airing Friends since Sept 2011, and still continues to air. Friends used to be on TVLand before but only lasted for a very short time.

even Nickelodeon social media still continues to promote Friends, even TBS too. While I've heard Friends reunion will be on HBOMax on May 2020.

TVLand just got updated website design, but don't know about refreshed lineup.

Seinfeld will be airing on Viacom networks, like Comedy Central, TVLand, and Paramount network on Oct 2021. Nothing is known for nick@nite if it will air.

Nick@Nite was once an innovative programming block on Nickelodeon focused on classic content. Now, with few shows and a repetitive schedule, not to mention competition from elsewhere and even the sister channel the block helped to create, Nick@Nite seems more useless than ever. I explore the origins of the block, as well as the modern problems plaguing it, in a comprehensive commentary and analysis of Nick at Nite. Can't it just die already?

I actually just strated watched KOQ on Channel 10 which is local channel in Long Island IIRC.

I assume TV Land is airing the same-old because it's cheap or free.

Thank you to the user who did this but if you don’t mind me suggesting I am interested on what you are saying, you just talked so fast it was difficult at times to understand what you were saying but thanks again for your hard work on this video.

I’m very curious to hear what the executives at nick@niTe & TVLAND are looking to do with both networks. Brian Robbins President of NICKELODEON & nick@niTe has not made any comments about nick@niTe since taking over. I really wish someone can interview him on his direction with nick@niTe and the same with whoever now runs TVLAND. Last I heard a year ago TVLAND was Returning to its roots of Classic Television Although it’s still Everybody Loves Raymond & The King Of Queens Airring EveryNite. (8pm-3AM) & Roseanne & Golden Girls & Two And Half Men Weekends & Gunsmoke & Bonanza Weekdays? Where’s Lassie & Lucy & Beaver & The Munsters & Donna Reed & Dennis the Menace & Bewitched & The Monkees & The Brady Bunch and etc?

Me TV airs Perry Mason & Twilight Zone & Dramas in the evening Where’s the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s Sitcoms?

Antenna TV airs Coach, Newsradio & Becker. Where’s the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s Sitcoms?

My guess regarding TVLAND is Seinfeld will probably air at 10pm. With no other Schedule Changes.

I don’t understand why logo won’t share its syndicated sitcoms to TVLAND & nick@niTe won’t share programming to freshen up its line-ups. There’s Company & Mama’s Family & Laverne & Shirley would be a nice welcome back addition to TVLAND & or nick@niTe.

Here is a Suggestion
nick@niTe
10pm & 5AM The Andy Griffith Show
11pm & 2AM Three’s Company
12AM & 3AM Mama’s Family
1AM & 4AM Laverne & Shirley

(Just borrowing those shows from logo can freshen it up)

https://twitter.com/nickandmore/stat...64762592411648

"Cable TV has already shifted so much. 20 years ago, each major cable channel had their own team of people (president, VPs, creative team, sales team, etc.). Now, companies like ViacomCBS just have them all lumped into groups of channels run by a single team."

https://twitter.com/nickandmore/stat...65606503243783

"Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, TV Land, CMT - all one team.

USA, Bravo, Syfy, E!, Oxygen, Universal Kids - all one team.

TNT, TBS, TruTV - all one team.

None of these channels have any true dedication anymore. Leading many of them (like Comedy Central) closer to extinction."

I wonder if Discovery/Science/HGTV/Dest America/DIY/Travel/Animal Planet/Food Net./TLC etc. are all under one team. They cross-promote constantly, leading me to think they don't care which one the viewer is watching, as long as it's one of them.

Nick@nite needs to do away with Mom and Friends already, Friends is already spammed on TBS all day so we don't need it all night on NAN, and Mom is on a few other channels. George Lopez and Full House can stay since they aren't aired anywhere else. These 4-5 hour marathons of the same show on many networks also need to be gone. Who wants to watch Friends, The King of Queens or Two and a Half Men for 5 freaking hours? Especially when TAAHM is already on a bunch of other channels? Nobody asked for "the King of Queens late night delivery" since that show's been played non-stop for years and it's also on CMT during the day. It's not a show you can binge-watch, it feels more like a show you play in the background as you do other things, but not to sit down and watch for 5 hours, especially since they air so much of it that you will probably catch the same episode every few weeks.
