Stana Katic Opens Up about her "Harsh" Exit from "Castle

How do you feel about the way your abrupt exit from "Castle" was handled?

I’m actually still not clear on the thought process behind the way that it went down. It hurt and it was a harsh ending, but now, nearly two years later… I met so many beautiful people on that project, and we collaborated on something really unique in that it’s not every day that you get a show, or a series, that has eight seasons and that it was a hit for the network.

It would be a disservice to those people, to the work that we did together, and to my work, which I feel contributed, in part, to the success of the show, to be anything but grateful because, at the end of the day, that was a fantastic platform.

It was a formative experience, and we told a love story that I feel moved people, touched people, and I can’t be anything but glad that I was a part of something like that. I hope it remains something special in viewers’ minds forever.

I worked on a Fillion-led show. He was never the problem. I'll leave it at that. Her publicist did do a great job in terms of making her seem the victim when ABC fired her. Fillion is a class-act.

Also, please don't link to that site. It is trash. He has a disclaimer at the bottom that what is says is basically fiction and for entertainment purposes. When celebrities get trashed on there, their agents basically tell them to ignore it and let it go away. That site is the bottom of the bottom.

It’s been four years since ABC unceremoniously dismissed Stana Katic from "Castle" (only to turn around weeks later and cancel the series altogether) and the actress behind Kate Beckett appears to have made peace with ugly incident.

In a new interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph (via the Daily Mail), Katic conceded that the “entire experience” left her “confused” and “hurt,” but added:

“Time has passed and I am so thankful to have been a part of that project and for it to have affected as many people as it did. People loved Kate and Rick as a couple and loved the story we told, loved all of those characters.”

She's looking for publicity. Hasn't done anything since "Castle" ended and she was apparently a nightmare to work with.
