I can't remember which thread we mentioned 1980s couches in two or three months ago, but anyway, here's a pic of one of ours! This was our couch in the late '80s and early '90s (doesn't it look so "late 1980s"?). That's our dog Rufus on it 🐶 (I'm pretty sure I took this pic). And as a bonus "Easter egg", look! There's a glimpse of an '80s cordless phone here too!

(Nancy's ultimate '80s Christmas gift!)

Yes, that couch is totally rad!

Why are there so many newspapers and magazines strewn about?! And then, twelve years later, and the couch is still covered in paperwork! "Would you mind cleaning up around here? It's a mess!"

Really though, it wasn't uncommon for mail and stuff to collect in the middle of the couch, but in the Beau pic, since there's a LOT going on there, lol, I assume that was some "going through stuff" or clean-up in progress. Because usually, yes, you could actually sit on the couch.
