The remake of Fawlty Towere failed twice in the USA, once with Bea Arthur in something called "Amanda's Place" and John Larouquette in another show (Payne?). I sampled both on YouTube and both shows were awful.

THREE times even, there was one in 1978 called Snavely.

They forgot 2 spinoffs from Three's Company. The Ropers and Three's a Crowd.

NBC will attempt a third American remake of The IT Crowd, with original series creator Graham Linehan
The previous attempts at recreating the classic British sitcom included a 2007 version starring Joel McHale and Jessica St. Clair and another version from Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence.

No wonder American television cannot replicate a BritCom. Can they even resurrect a yesteryear comedy?

Of course, I do not expect our STEM/STEAM expert/graduates to replicate the moon landing. Do not expect an automobile for however many times over you pay for one.

But Snavely, now that's a real surprise.

Just like a couple of years ago, "Beane's of Boston" (US Are you being served remake) turned up.
