That's kind of surprising given the fact that Tony O'Dell had the classic leading man looks. It seemed like instead, Eric was the resident heartthrob and he and Simone were the primary romantic duo. I wonder what if Alan was paired with Robin Givens' character, Darlene. But I guess having an interracial couple on a prime-time show in the '80s as still deemed to taboo and/or controversial.

And he was so obnoxious, lol. I mean, I liked his character for the laughs her provided, and Tony was great, but it seems like it would have taken a long time if they paired him up for him to soften enough to become "bearable" to a girlfriend, lol.
