Should the producers and ABC have changed the name of the show

I mean when you get right down to it, the name 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter (and yes, I know that they eventually shortened it to 8 Simple Rules) didn't really make much sense or carry any real weight after John Ritter died. I just thought about this after seeing Katey Sagal on The Conners, which is of course a reworking of Roseanne after Roseanne Barr got herself fired for what she said on Twitter.

No, its name of the earlier show with Katey Sagal wasn't called Paul after John Ritter's character's name. But still, it was quite obvious that the show was meant to revolve around him. Keeping the 8 Simple Rules name (they could've instead, retitled the show The Hennesseys) in my mind, just reminded us of the dark cloud that Ritter's untimely passing left.
