That amazon episode is BAD. Almost like a cartoon. Just ridiculous, although I should be honest and admit I haven't watched it on the DVD set. I haven't seen it in years. I should give it a fair shot.

4.22 Thanks for the Memory is interesting. It is a complete remake of season 1.22 Love is a Fallacy. They just replace Thalia with Zelda in this one. What I don't like about it is that at the end, Zelda and Dobie decide they don't really love each other and should not be together. Of course, they obviously changed their minds at some point.

I barely remember the sleepwalking episode. Another one I need to rewatch.

4.34 Beauty is Only Kin Deep is cute. I thought it was odd that they made Dr. Burkhart homely and plain for this episode when she never was before, just so they could do a makeover. LOL
I found the Dr. Burkhart character intriguing. It's like the writers/producers didn't know what to do with her character in personality & fashion sense.
Started out being a sexy carefree character but then later she's a studious plain Jane with black framed glasses then yet again she's sexy & carefree and so on

I'd have to agree that it is very weak compared to the other seasons, but there are a few good episodes. I am looking forward to your thoughts.

Hiya Zelda

I only watched the first few eps and I liked it so far. The one where Dobie thinks everyone wants him dead was intriguing and I loved the scene where he was in that spooky house. The ending was kind of like a bad cartoon though where he was "electrocuted" (bad special effects btw) while carrying that guitar and his feet in the pail of water.

I've been too busy rewatching my Donna Reed season 1 DVDs at the moment to get into Dobie.

I haven’t seen the series in years so I am going by memory here. The Army episodes were pretty bad. What was the purpose? The even stranger thing was why was Maynard there, especially when he was rejected the previous season? They should have kept him in high school more of the season, then a handful of summer type episodes.

The fourth season is mostly terrible. The plots are too absurd, as mentioned earlier. Dobie is seen in token appearances or seemingly not at all, and his younger cousin Dunky comes in. Even the Thalia episode was not good. Her appearance in the third season was much better.
