Default Jaleel White is reviving Steve Urkel for new Scooby-Doo animated series

https://deadline.com/2019/06/steve-u...rs-1202636445/

White will voice his iconic Family Matters character for the Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? episode airing June 27 for Boomerang's streaming service. “Walked in that booth after 20 years and voiced him like it was nuthin, #SteveUrkel #UrkelBot," White wrote on an Instagram post featuring a signed animation cell. “Hanna Barbera once gifted me an animation cell I have til this day. To be ON screen with Scoob And Shaggy solving a mystery is #Bucketlist stuff Enjoy! And my daughter STILL thinks she cooler than me!” Other Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? guest-stars include Ricky Gervais, Kenan Thompson, Jim Gaffigan, Wanda Sykes, Whoopi Goldberg, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Sia, Halsey, Mark Hamill, Penn & Teller, Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Chris Paul.

To me, his voice for Steve at the end of this show sounded different and I am sure that it was because of the change that Jaleel's voice was naturally going through and so I can only imagine how he will sound now.

God bless you and him always!!!

That's pretty cool. How can you go wrong with Scooby Doo and Urkel.

A character in Scooby Doo more annoying than Scrappy? Didn't think it was possible.

It seems that he has soften up about the character recently. Quite a surprise he would reprise it again. He even concidered coming back if the show was rebooted, but it doesn't seem to be. He had asked his daughter if she would want him to play Steve Urkel again.

Is a Family Matters reboot next?

Darius McCrary, who played Eddie Winslow on the classic ABC "TGIF" sitcom, says he's meeting Jaleel White about a potential revival.

Wow, that's exciting. Could a reboot be in the future? It would seem right since Saved by the Bell and Punky Brewster got the green light to start filming a revival. We can't help but wonder who from the original cast would be involved.
