Most specifically, the diner set (The Max) on Saved by the Bell. I mean the color schemes (with the pinks and what not) on each set are awfully similar.

The only part of the two sets that really even look the same are the glass block windows, which were common in the 1980s. The OOH set had pillars to hold merchandise; the Max set had booths so people could eat. The only chairs in the OOH set were metal and would have probably been very uncomfortable to sit in. The neon signs couldn't have been recycled. ![]()

Yeah, probably just how the times were (also of note: I have never seen a full episode of SBTB).
Miss Bliss must be juuuuuuust off camera ![]() This "block windows" talk also reminds me of the game show "Scrabble". While not windows, blocks were everywhere! Man, I loved watching S at my grandparents'. ![]() - |

This means, at the buzzer stand, the "'Facts' Face-Offs" would be:
(Note: One may replace Miss Mahoney with Mr. Bradley if one wishes. Then it would be "Bradley's Brood" versus "Garrett's Girls", lol) Oohhhh, to go back in time and make this happen!!

Yeah that was a common look of 80's sets. So did you watch GMMB then, Eights?

Well, wasn't GMMB only on The Disney Channel? I do have a hazy beloved memory of seeing a few minutes of an episode at I think my grandparents' in the evening (they got a satellite dish when I was a kid), because I thought so highly of Hayley Mills thanks to her Disney movies (I'd seen "The Parent Trap" as a kid, and would see more when I was older).

Weirdly enough, the original pilot of GMMB aired on NBC. I watched it in 1987 on my local NBC station. Perhaps '80s saw it there as well?
Not sure why they used such a sappy theme song. I think that may be the same school set as Boy Meets World; it certainly looks similar, and it was the same production company (Touchstone) that produced both BMW and the GMMB pilot. |

Wow...that sure is..."different", lol. I liked the cool sketches of her throughout her life though, those are neat. |

[RICHARD DAWSON asks game question] [BLAIR excitedly points downstage] Blair: "LOOK! Nancy, isn't that ROGER out there in the audience?!" Nancy: "WHERE?!" [NANCY whips her head around to scan for Roger in the audience, while BLAIR slams down her buzzer with a smug, self-satisfied smile on her face. NANCY realizes she's been tricked and turns back around icing down BLAIR a glare-y stare] OOOOoooooo! ![]() By the way, for those of you who here who "know" 227, this is one of my favorite moments of a sitcom appearance of "Family Feud"! ![]() - |
