"one of TV's most beloved characters"? "sassy"? "cameo"?
Not phrases and words I would use. |

So it looks like she became a hoarder like Sally Struthers.

Well, I don't feel sorry for SL. So what if she's gotten a lot older; we all have. And, she's living in a condo the majority of people will never be able to afford. It sounds like she's doing better than OK, even if her place is filled with junk - LOL.
Dr. T. & The Women (2000) was a very underrated, funny film; I had forgotten she was in this until reading the above article. And, I've said this before & I'll say it again: The best thing to happen to Cheers was Shelley Long leaving the show & making way for Kirstie Alley. The Diane Chambers episodes (S01-S05) were iconic & funny, but the series would have died a slow & painful death if Diane hadn't left, making way for Rebecca Howe. Good for SL for leaving the show - it was great for her movie career, and ensured that Cheers lasted & prospered for years afterwards. |

Ginger (GI) and Diane (Cheers) - both seem to have what they call "hit the wall" very hard - just the way some genetics work +-

It always amazes me that when somebody has aged decades, so often people say that they are unrecognizable or have hit a wall hard along with even much unkinder comments. 40 years have passed!! Let's wait to see what we look like at 70 years of age, if we are lucky to make it that long.
I just noticed after I typed my comment, that this was from the NE, no wonder the comments are harsh, just like on TMZ. |
