Yes, I was surprised to see it, but Season 1 is out on DVD. I saw it in a Barnes & Noble video department not too long ago... http://www.buy.com/prod/matlock-seas...206779052.html I don't know what the plans are, if any, for future releases. |

I enjoyed watching Matlock. I like how the stories were well written. Among my favorite episodes was when Dick Van Dyke was the murderer and the presiding judge.
A few years back, I was able to acquire a prop from the show. |

The prop was the "Weird Wally" doll from the two-part episode "The Fortune." I happenend upon on it on eBay several years ago. It was up for sale by Chester Spier, the prop master on the show. Here is a picture of the doll as it appeared on eBay. |

Old thread. But, *slowly raises hand*
The show is a guilty pleasure for me. I'm 25. I shouldn't be watching Matlock. But, I do anyways. Probably because I think Cliff Lewis was kinda hot. But, I love the show itself as well. I watched a bit when I was a kid (ages 5-7) because my dad loved the show. Funny story. He got really pissed at me when I started annoying him during Matlock once and whipped me. (not in a mean way or anything. But, as punishment.) I didn't understand. But, now I do. Because, darn...Matlock is awesome. I wouldn't wanna be annoyed during an episode either. |

Matlock fan here! I've always been a fan of the show. Andy Griffith's best role.

I love Matlock! And I will gladly say that this was Andy Griffith's best role. There's just something about this show that draws me in. I don't know what. Maybe it's because I like Andy Griffith as an actor or just the overall feel to the show, but I love it.
