Definitely Arnold Horshack. He always cracked me up with his laugh. Ron Palillo played the role so well.

Horshack was a funnier character and starred in a funnier show so I voted for him.

Arnold Horshack. I liked all four main Sweathogs, but Arnold was the best part of the show.

Having seen all of and liking both shows, I’m gonna have to add my vote to Horshack to the list! The character was not only funny but he REALLY grew as a person by the end of the series. He had to learn some stuff the real hard way but I was really satisfied with how and where his character ended up at the end. The writers did a great job with that and writing for that character!

Funny thing is that of the four students, Ron Pallilo (Horshack) was the only one who looked young enough to be in high school. He looked liked a teenager. The other three guys (all great actors by the way) looked liked they were in their 20's and one had to sort of suspend disbelief that they were high school kids.

But the funny thing was that Ron Palillo was the oldest one of the four.

Gabe Kaplan actually felt that way himself. In fact, one of the story ideas he pitched for the series was for Kotter to leave Buchanan High and teach a community college course attended by the Sweathogs.
