Felicity Huffman pleads guilty as prosecutors recommend a four-month prison sentence

The Desperate Housewives alum fought back tears in a Boston federal court this afternoon as she pleaded guilty to college admissions fraud as part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors. "Yes, your honor," Huffman said when the judge asked if she understood the terms of her plea deal. The assistant U.S. attorney told the judge the government is recommending the low end of the sentence guidlines, which is four months. Prosecutors also recommended a $20,000 fine and one year of supervised release. The judge ultimately will decide how much time Huffman spends in prison. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 13. |
