I never quite understood why the cartoon version of Naploleon Dynamite never took off. It had all the ear marks to be a King of the Hill-type cartoon success, but somehow didn't click with viewers...

Me, too. I really loved the show, so I don't get why it flopped the way it did. Same thing with the Goode Family (which had the same type of quirky humor). I guess viewers just want their animation to be mean-spirited, dark and crude.
