The Democratic U.S. senator from Minnesota, who announced her presidential bid last week, is rumored to have once asked a staffer to shave her legs for her. Veep showrunner David Mandel confirms that the rumor inspired a joke on the show. “It is a well-known rumor that we were told a million times by millions of people,” Mandel said of the leg-shaving story. Mandel added that he, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and his writers had lunch with Klobuchar when he took over as showrunner. When asked for comment on the rumor, a Klobuchar rep said: "This is ridiculous."
