Like the title said, which actors do you think improved in terms of performance over the course of however many seasons?

Ray Romano, who started E L Raymond as a comedian, improved over 9 seasons, as an actor.

Tony Dow's acting skills were a little raw when Leave It To Beaver first started, but his acting improved as the series went along. By the 3rd season he had settled comfortably in the role of Wally Cleaver.

Christina Applegate in Married...With Children improved her comedic timing throughout the series.

Tim Allen, Home Improvement. He went from a stand-up with little acting experience to a heck of an actor by the last couple years of the series. He's great on LMS now.

I think the opposite is true. Jerry actually tried in the early seasons, then couldn't care less and was way over the top in the final 3 seasons. He couldn't even play himself, as he was not nominated for an Emmy after 1995.
