Retro, you surprise me! I thought with all your talk of having been to New England (seeing the original school for the exteriors of Eastland, etc.,), that you were in PA or NY!

The exteriors for Eastland are at Pomona College in Claremont, California. I've never seen the exterior for Eastlake. I actually am not sure I've even heard of where it is.

There is, however, a YouTube video which shows an abandoned girls' school in the Peekskill area of New York. I haven't been there, but that is one creepy video!

Oohhhh, okay. Well with that and some other things you've mentioned before, I assumed you were a New Englander. But, you know what they say---"never assume!" lol

Oh my gosh, no! Never been there.

I have a friend who lived in Maine. His accent was often indecipherable to me.

You might be just "used to yourself", lol. Just wait till Retro and I meet you when we have our Lost Girls luncheon with Felice, Molly, and "the Julies".

It's like on an episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show when a British lady was in the news studio, and Mary told her she liked her accent, and the British lady said "Thanks, I like yours too" and Mary said, "I have an accent?" and the British lady said, "Yes, quite thick, actually" and Mary was surprised, lol.

My friend from Maine would say bubbla when he was talking about a water fountain. I'd never heard of that. His accent seemed to be a mixture of Boston and Canadian, eh?

When I moved to Arizona in 1995, I had to get used to saying soda. People here didn't know what pop is.

Still, I think I'd be too tongue-tied, meeting the Lost Girls, to even think about Lorimar's Nor'eastern accent.

Yeah, I had a classmate from Texas who would do the same thing. Strangest thing: I'd be holding a can of, like, 7-Up and she'd call it a "coke".
