The CW's Arrowverse will finally introduce its Lois Lane this weekend. But is Teri Hatcher from Lois and Clark actually the best Lois Lane? |

14. Leslie Ann Warren, , It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman (apparently a 1966 broadway play - sorry never seen it) 13. Ginny McSwain, 1988 Superman Cartoon from Ruby Spears (this was a pretty terrible cartoon, I really don't remember this actress) 12. Kate Bosworth, Superman Returns (this character was Lois Lane in name only - she was nothing like what the character was supposed to be, regardless of how terrible the rest of the movie was) 11. Candice Patton as Iris West, The Flash (inexplicably this character that is NOT Lois Lane is included in this list for some reason) 10. Amy Adams, Snyder-Verse (way too timid a character to be Lois Lane, I thought it was poorly written) 9. Noel Neill, George Reeves’ Superman (very much a product of its time, but otherwise a decent portrayal of the character) 8. Phyllis Coates, George Reeves’ Superman (I always thought she was too abrasive and annoying which detracted from what LL is supposed to be) 7. Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Supergirl (another character that is NOT Lois Lane, I think the author is really stretching just to fill up this list) 6. Erica Durance, Smallville (my favorite Lois Lane - she was what Lois was supposed to be; smart, competent, sassy, confident and not the damsel in distress - the author of the list faults her for not immediately figuring out Clark's secret identity and showing a little skin) 5. Teri Hatcher, Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman (she was a decent LL but a little too much of a ditz and damsel in distress for my taste) 4. Jennifer Jason Leigh as Amy Archer, The Hudsucker Proxy (wait, another character NOT Lois Lane on this list of the best Lois Lanes?) 3. Margot Kidder, the Donner Films (pretty much the iconic Lois Lane) 2. Joan Alexander, Fleischer Cartoons, Famous Cartoons, 1966 cartoon, radio (I vaguely remember these old cartoons, and while this LL was definitely brassy and bold the cartoons were way too silly and one-dimensional to really make it that great of a character) 1. Dana Delany, Dini-Timm Universe (while I certainly must have seen his version of the character from '97-'06 cartoons, she didn't stand out enough for me to really have an opinion of the character) - Elizabeth Tulloch, Arrowverse-Supergirl - this character was sort of a letdown for all the hype over it; she really didn't have that big of a role and wasn't very impressive for what we did see of her |
