Question Favorite British TV shows that don't air in the US

What are some great (or rather good) British TV shows (dramas, comedies, even reality if you feel like it) that have largely remained British successes? Either shows that have never aired in the US or are only known to a very small cult audience in the US?

I don't think Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em has ever aired on my stations, even back when my PBS affiliate and BBC America aired more Britcoms. The only way I could see this great show is online.

I watched that as a child and it's from the British humour tradition of self-deprecation. I'm not sure how far this would travel in the era we have now of the Reagan-Thatcher machismo winner-takes-all philosophy.

This is one of the best episodes. Put it this way: if you don't like this one you can forget the rest. https://youtu.be/PRKS9ik2VVQ

I did not know the Spencers got a cat, she wasn't in any of the season 1 episodes.

Birds of a Feather
Britain's Got Talent

I would also like to insert British Game Shows(just in case) to a list of Best UK TV Shows that never aired in the US:
- Blockbusters(original Bob Holness-hosted UK version)
- Countdown(only the classic episodes from the 1980s & the 1990s)
- Family Fortunes(Pre-1999 episodes of Les Dennis version)
- Blind Date(only the first 7 years of the Cilia Black era)
- Play Your Cards Right(1980s & 1990s versions with Bruce Forsyth)

I really like "As Time Goes By" and PBS quit airing it about four months ago. Used to show it on Saturday primetime. Wish it would come back on that channel.
