"Last Man Standing" Shake-Up: 2 Major Roles Being Recast Ahead of Season 7

"Last Man Standing" is giving two key members of the Baxter family a face-lift ahead of the ex-ABC comedy’s Fox relaunch this fall.

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Molly Ephraim and Flynn Morrison, who played Tim Allen’s onscreen daughter Mandy and grandson Boyd, respectively, have opted not to return for Season 7. Both roles are in the process of being recast.

Among the series regulars confirmed to rejoin leading Allen in Season 7 are Nancy Travis (as wife Vanessa), Amanda Fuller (eldest daughter Kristin), Jonathan Adams (Chuck), Christoph Sanders (Kyle), Jordan Masterson (Ryan) and Hector Elizondo (Ed).

You already recast the oldest daughter and aged up the grandson once and recast him.

So let's backtrack for a moment here. Half the main cast is gone, it costed three more popular comedies to make room on the network, and the fact that it was only brought back to capitalize on the Roseanne viewers (and look how well that turned out for ABC).

None of those three comedies were popular, they were all ratings losers that deserved cancelled regardless of LMS coming back or not. A handful of critics loved them, but they were largely rejected by the public. Critics should not keep dictating what shows stay on the air.

I think they need a new actress to replace Kaitlyn Dever to play Eve better and also need a news actor to replace Tim Allen to play Mike at the same time.
