Thanks for the news! I wonder if Mandy and Kyle will have their own place and child in the fall. Will Eve be in the Air Force still if she went as planned? Will another boy be brought in to play Boyd with the previous child being the only person who will not be returning to the show?

Fox's Last Man Standing won't address whether Tim Allen's character is a Trump supporter

When Last Man Standing makes its debut on Fox this fall, it won't be clear whether Allen's character, Mike Baxter, voted for President Trump. Fox co-chairman Gary Newman said at TV press tour that "the producers’ plans are simply not to address whether or not he might be a Trump supporter… That could change during the season, but there are no plans at this time… Clearly he’s a character with a conservative viewpoint." It wouldn't be unusual for a conservative-leaning sitcom to shy away from directly addressing the Trump presidency. The Roseanne revival, which paved the way for Last Man Standing's revival, never mentioned Trump's name, though it was clear Roseanne Conner was a Trump supporter.

Allen addressed his character's politics hours after Fox said that Last Man Standing wouldn't immediately reveal whether he is a Trump supporter. “This guy’s a practical guy… if it’s helping his business, I think he’s probably pro-Trump. (But) he probably doesn't defend him," Allen said at the TV press tour while promoting his sitcom's Fox revival. Allen also admitted that he and the writers were disappointed that Hillary Clinton lost. “We had a bank of stuff” already written for a Clinton presidency, he said, adding jokingly: "pantsuit stuff." Allen emphasized that Last Man Standing isn't necessarily a conservative sitcom. “We want both sides to think it’s funny," he said.
