I was right...without Team USA...as well as Italy, Chile, and The Netherlands...viewing dropped!

Netherlands did participate in 2014, but USA failed to qualify again.

USA Lost to Belgium in 2014 in the World Cup.

I was thinking there might be some people within the U.S. who actually support the teams that are actually participating in this year's World Cup and don't care about their own country's team.

Plus, Qatar (the host country of the next FIFA World Cup) also failed to qualify this year.

Should Fox Sports have given up their broadcasting rights to this year's FIFA World Cup just because Team USA didn't qualify for it? Thereby meaning the FIFA World Cup will not be broadcast within the United States at all?

Viewership was down by one-third from 2014, as this year's ratings were essentially decided when the U.S. men's team failed to quality for the first time since 1986. ALSO: YouTube TV said "timing is horrible" as it suffered a service outage during the England-Croatia game.
