I'm looking forward to this reboot as I liked the original.

I just hope they don't stray too far from actual comedy and humor to spew their political opinions.

Could Murphy Brown return to Mondays?
CBS has had Thursday Night Football for the past four seasons, which resulted in The Big Bang Theory helping bolster Monday nights for a few weeks in the fall. But now that Thursday Night Football is gone from CBS, the Murphy Brown revival could be used to help a Monday lineup that has been particularly "brutal" this season.

The networks need to go all in on multi-cam sitcoms again. To be honest I’d rather watch a bad sitcom than a “good” drama. Screw Game of Thrones. I’d rather watch any sitcom. Seriously.

CBS' fall schedule: Murphy Brown lands on Thursdays, Magnum P.I. to Mondays
CBS is shaking up its Monday lineup, opening the night with comedies The Neighborhood and Happy Together, followed by Magnum P.I. at 9 p.m. and Bull. CBS' Thursday slot will stay largely intact, with Murphy Brown airing at 9:30 p.m. after Mom. God Friended Me will air on Sundays at 8 p.m.

Murphy Brown revival will tackle the morning show wars -- think Morning Joe vs. Fox & Friends
Murphy Brown will host a morning show called Murphy in the Morning. Her son, played by Jake McDormand, will be her biggest competitor as host a conservative morning news show. CBS said Morning Joe and Fox & Friends are a fitting comparison. “We fully expect a lot of people are going to come to (Murphy Brown),” said CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl. “We felt… this could be a great piece to make this block the strongest on TV.”
