Dawson's Creek almost cast Katherine Heigl for Michelle Williams' role
Creator Kevin Williamson said of Heigl in the EW reunion issue: "She looked slightly older at that time. Even though she was younger, I just think she was more mature. She gave a great audition, I remember we were all sort of like, ‘Wow, she's good.'" However, once Williams nailed the audition for Jen Leery, Williamson says she was the clear-cut choice for the role. ALSO: James Van Der Beek is open to a "reinvention" of Dawson's Creek.
