Default What should be done with Ion?

What should Ion do with the main Ion channel? Apart from a few Canadian shows like Saving Hope and Private Eyes to be broadcast next year all it shows is repeats of American crime series all day. They tried original programming before but it didn't really work out. For instance, Why don't they try some original factual type programming to differ themselves from the other main networks or acquire more Canadian content?

When ION Television was introduced to the world in the 90's as PAX TV it was a huge surprise in the world of TV because not only did PAX promise to be geared toward families but it gave people a chance to see a channel that was really unique and fresh. In the 90's during PAX TV's launch they aired reruns of sitcoms such as The Hogan Family and The Love Boat and later as they gained a more popular audience they debuted their own original shows that would be exclusive to them like Little Men and the show It's A Miracle and the Chicken Soup For The Soul TV series. But also PAX TV did show movies that were shown in a edited version removing the swear words and scenes meant for adults to make the movies family friendly for families to watch together. But with the addition of game shows such as Supermarket Sweep Shop Til You Drop and reruns of Hollywood Showdown The Reel To Reel Picture Show Louie Anderson's Family Feud and the game show Twenty-One as well as The Weakest Link proved that game shows could be successful for PAX TV. After success with the Billy Ray Cyrus drama Doc and more dramas you could tell that PAX TV was changing it's image and they quickly adopted a new image by renaming itself I and adding more shows including reruns of the sitcom Growing Pains you could tell that this new image would be a hit with fans. But as I gained a new image again and now crowning itself ION Television gone were the sitcoms and game shows and variety shows and in it's place were reruns of Law And Order and other drama shows and so with this new image ION Television is going through lots of changes and with 2018 around the corner ION Television will add new shows to it's lineup with CSI Crime Scene Investigation being added to the lineup ION Television will be a most watched channel in cable TV this century. But now ION Television has a smart idea by having a marathon of their own original Christmas movies and that is a very bright idea for ION to do. But as the years go by ION Television will continue to impress fans both young and old with fantastic programming that can be watched by everybody who loves dramas and crime shows. But ION could add some sitcoms and game shows to the lineup to make the channel more interesting to watch to attract a bigger audience to the channel

ION is just like all the other channels. And yes, I remember ION as PAX TV and it was a pretty good channel.

Ion should pick up some sitcoms. I remember when they had Alice and Mama's Family.

Starting on Christmas, ION will be adding six full hours of infomercials every day. 9AM-1PM and 1-3AM are going from syndicated dramas and movies to paid programming. This will be in addition to the infomercials and E/I shows already in place six other hours of the day from 3-9AM.

It should go out of business and leave and so should MyNetwork TV. Both channels are stupid and useless and have nothing of value to offer.

From Post 7 it sounds like it should be renamed IOD - Infomercial on Demand.

Wasn't ION once an all infomercial channel?
