The problem with a lot of "Then and Now" celebrity pics is that a lot of the "Now" pics are way too old.

Actually the problem with them is that they use a lot of phony pictures as click bait.

Since the video brought it up, supposedly Max Wright was smoking crack with male prostitutes. Could have been pot, but more than likely crack. I think Mr. Wright went a little nuts being a classically trained actor playing second fiddle to a muppet.

There are other threads, but the show was very difficult to do with trap doors, which made it much more treacherous than doing a regular show. Also, none of these actors really went to to do anything else, and the girl who played the daughter was anorexic for awhile, but she is ok now (I guess). Hope the kid who plays the son isn't a whacko. Looks somewhat normal though, smoking cigs doesn't necessarily make one a deranged former child star. The one who played the wife was good looking, but too young for Willie.

And that pic is at least 10 years old, maybe even 15. It has no business trying to be passed off as a "Now" pic.

For the money he was probably earning, I would have gladly carried Lambchop around on a sedan chair.

ALF CAST 🌟 THEN AND NOW 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKPA8IeINSs

Quote:
What the- this isn’t Melmac. Who are all these people? Oh, wait a minute, it’s the cast of ALF, one of the best and certainly most unique shows of all time.! Most times, people go off and search for adventure. But sometimes, adventure crashes right into your family’s garage. And so, an out-of-this-world ‘80s comedy was born.

I’m your host Nostalgic Nick here to catch up on the latest from the cast of ALF, human and aliens - and even cat lovers - alike. If you enjoy this throwback, be sure to give it a thumbs up, and don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode. Without further ado, let’s rebuild this spaceship of a cast!

Max Wright and Anne Schedeen were only about 5.5 years apart, Max being born 08/02/1943 and Anne's date of birth is 01/08/1949.

I don't think that makes 'Willie' too old for 'Kate'.

The Cast of 'ALF' Hated Working With the Titular Star

The TV audience were the only ones who loved ALF.

Well, the actors did a good job on the show despite the long days and tension. They hid it well, unlike Gary Burghoff on M*A*S*H who was visibly grouchy toward the end of his run on the show, and his final episodes really show his hate toward being there.

One thing though, about how they "didn't like playing second banana to a puppet", what did they really expect? The show was named for the alien, so it's obvious he'd be the center of attention in the show.

I love this show so much and I like it even more knowing how difficult it was for the actors. I'm not happy they suffered. But that they acted in it so well considering how much they disliked it is impressive. I could never tell that the actor who played Willie wasn't happy. That's the sign of a good actor, in fact. He's acting like he's having a ball. And I buy it every time. I think Willie really makes the show as good as it is. I can't see another actor playing that part. I think the little boy is the only one who could have been played by anyone else with the same result. But he is sweet and innocent and I think that's really all he needed to be.
