Hairspray The Sitcom

This new sitcom takes place in Baltimore in 1962, and takes off shortly after where "Hairspray" the 2007 motion picture left off. Tracy Turnblad and her friends has fought and succeeded in trying to integrate "The Corny Collins Show". Some things hasn't changed much since the movie left off, however some things have changed. Tracy Turnblad and Link Larkin are now dating steadily, as are Seaweed Stubbs and Penny Pingleton. Edna and Wilbur Turnblad are still happily married. "The Corny Collins Show" is still on the air. As Penny's father is still in prison, Penny's overbearing, strict mother, Prudy Pingleton strongly disapproves of Penny and Seaweed's relationship, which still doesn't make Penny think twice about her budding relationship with Seaweed much to Prudy's dismay. Velma Von Tussel's been fired from being the station manager of "The Corny Collins Show", and replaced by Motormouth Maybelle Stubbs by Corny Collins' personal request. Tracy, Link, Amber, Seaweed, Penny, and Little Inez are still regulars on the "The Corny Collins Show", among other Council Members. Also, Wilbur has closed down the "Hardy Har Hut" and surprises his beloved wife, Edna by transforming it into "Edna's Coin-Operated Laundromat" as an anniversary present to her. Wilbur and Edna decide to run "Edna's Coin-Operated Laundromat" together as co-owners. Watch how the "Hairspray" gang lives and functions in society now after the movie left off.
